Microsoft's Copilot AI Tool Now Available in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, Similar to ChatGPT's Functionality

Microsoft has launched its latest AI tool for Microsoft 365 called "Copilot," which is now available in Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. This tool has similar functionality to ChatGPT and can assist users in various tasks within different work-based software.

With Copilot, Microsoft aims to "fundamentally change the way we work," according to CEO Satya Nadella. However, he also acknowledged that AI tools can make mistakes at times.

The Copilot AI tool can perform several tasks, such as understanding and summarizing meetings in Microsoft Teams, writing detailed emails, analyzing long documents, creating detailed presentations, and generating graphs and summaries from data in Microsoft Excel.

Although Copilot is based on a similar language model as ChatGPT, Microsoft clarified that it is not the same tool. They also reminded users that Copilot can occasionally make mistakes, but it can still lighten the load of mundane tasks and free up time for more critical work.

Microsoft's launch of Copilot comes shortly after Google's release of their own AI tools for the Google Workspace, indicating that the integration of AI technology into various software is becoming a growing trend in the tech industry.
