Twitter's subscription service, Twitter Blue, has recently expanded to more than 20 European countries, including the Netherlands, Poland, Ireland, and Sweden. The expansion brings the total number of countries with access to the service to over 35.

Twitter Blue was launched in December of last year under the leadership of Elon Musk, offering paying users the Blue verification mark and access to features like 60-minute long videos, 4,000-character long tweets, and priority in conversations. It also offers legacy features like an edit tweet functionality, a thread reader, and bookmark folders.

In an effort to increase subscribers, Twitter introduced an annual plan in January at $84 per year. Recently, the company has launched the annual plan on both iOS and Android, priced at $114.

However, early results haven't been encouraging, with estimates and reports indicating that Twitter Blue has fewer than 300,000 subscribers. In addition, users experienced various issues accessing Twitter earlier this week, including problems with timelines, searches, and direct messages, following Musk's reported firing of over 200 people in the latest round of job cuts.

Despite these challenges, Twitter Blue continues to expand its reach, and it remains to be seen how successful the subscription service will be in the long run.
